Our story begins more than a decade ago, though at the time, we had no idea there would even be a story to tell. We met in 2010, on the first day of high school, sophomore year. Though nothing remarkable happened, no sparks, no love at first sight. Fast forward to 2013, our senior year. We were voted most artistic in the yearbook superlatives, we went to Sadie Hawkins as friends, we graduated…then didn’t speak again for a decade.

Ok NOW is where our story really begins. In March 2023, Kate received a text out of the blue from a name she had almost completely forgotten, Jonathan Kim. He had just moved back to Georgia from New York and had questions about e-commerce modeling. Luckily for him, he had heard through the grapevine that Kate had worked in the modeling industry, and he decided to reach out. That simple text would be the start of something neither would have ever guessed. That text exchange would lead to a dinner invitation, and that first dinner outing turned into hours of catching up, laughing, and connecting. From that point on, the two were almost inseparable. They began with reestablishing their friendship and let it grow into a beautiful romance. Two years after that fateful text, he proposed on the beach at Amelia Island in front of their families and his dog Mickey. She said yes, and the rest is history!
